The Repurpose Program is almost complete!

We are very excited to invite you to the Churchill County Library Rededication Ceremony on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m.

Stop by and take a look at what’s new inside the library. Library hours on Feb. 28 are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The library will be closed on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27. Regular hours resume on March 2. Updated photos can be viewed on the library Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/churchillcountylibrary.


Tax Information

Due to budget cuts at the IRS, many print forms are not available at the library for distribution to the public this year. Currently available are 1040A and 1040EZ. The 1040 form is expected shortly. Instruction booklets and other forms are available or can be ordered at IRS.gov/orderforms or by calling 1-800-829-3676. Forms are available to view and download at IRS.gov/Forms. Additionally the library can download and print selected forms for you. Stop by and we’ll help you with this.


Storytime

Library Storytime will be held at the Churchill County Museum at 1050 S. Maine St. on Wednesday at 11 a.m. through February. Beginning March 4, Storytime will resume at the library. This is a great opportunity to listen to stories and do a craft with your children. It’s a fun time for everyone!


eMedia Classes at the Library

Learn to download eBooks and eAudio books onto your iPad, Tablet, Kindle, Kindle Fire/HD, Android phone, PC, laptop or Nook Color/HD using the Overdrive Media or One Click Digital platforms. We’ll show you how to download library materials and to sidestep any common pitfalls you may encounter. Bring your library card, your device and any questions. Drop in on Thursday Feb. 19 or 26 or Saturday between 9-11 a.m.


New and Noteworthy

The library has the latest bestsellers as well as other titles of interest including the following:

Epic Tomatoes: How to Select and Grow the Best Varieties of all Time by Craig LeHoullier- It’s never too early to start thinking about that summer garden.

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins- A psychological thriller that everyone is talking about. Also #1 on the New York Times bestseller list.

What If? by Randall Munroe-Scientific and sometimes humorous answers to questions you probably never thought to ask. Munroe hosts the popular website www.xkcd.com
