Boise State shuts down Nevada

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — James Webb III scored 22 points and Derrick Marks added 18 as Boise State shut down Nevada 78-46 on Saturday afternoon.

Webb made 9 of 11 shots from the field, including 4 of 4 from 3-point range, and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. Marks made 8 of 12 shots but didn’t lead his team in scoring for just the second time in 2015.

The Broncos (20-7, 10-4 Mountain West) used an 18-2 run to take a 22-6 lead with 11:56 left in the first half, with Webb and Marks combining for 15 of the 18 points. The Wolf Pack (8-18, 4-10) had eight first-half turnovers that led to 19 points for Boise State, which led 44-26 at the half. After the big run, Nevada never got closer than 11 points in the first half or 16 after halftime.

D.J. Fenner led Nevada with 13 points and four rebounds.
