Alumni notebook: How Carson City area athletes are doing in college

BASKETBALL

Rafe King, Carson, Columbia College: Scored 6 points in 69-62 loss to Fresno. Averaged 11.7 in regular season.

Matt Nolan, Carson, Cabrillo College: Scored 6 points in 92-62 win, and finished the season with a 2.3 average and 0.6 assists per game.

Haley Ridgely, Carson, Hollins University: Scored 2 points and grabbed 2 rebounds in 74-28 tournament loss to Guilford.

Savannah Smith, Carson, Sierra College: Scored 5 points in 84-57 win over Sac City. Averaged 3.2 points per game in regular season.

BASEBALL

Jace Zampirro, Carson, Feather River: Gave up 3 runs and 2 hits without retiring a batter in his only appearance last week. Is 0-0 with a 12.00 ERA.

Adam Whitt, Carson, UNR: Picked up his 4th save of season Sunday against Fresno City. Is 1-0 with a 1.69 ERA.

Luke Maher, Carson, Colorado Northwestern: No stats posted on Scenic West website yet.

Brock Pradere, Carson, Ohlone College: Went 1-for-12 last week, and is hitting .259 for the season.

Rory Petersen, William Jessup: Went 0-for-5 last week and is hitting .286 with a homer and 4 RBI.

Charlie Banfield, Carson, Yuba College: Gave up 4 hits in 4 innings in his last appearance. Is 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA.

Jake Koch, Dayton, E. Nazarene: Season hasn’t started yet.

Conner Oliver, Dayton, Minot State: Season hasn’t started yet.

Nick Selmi, Dayton, Mendocino College: Pitched two scoreless innings in his last appearance. Is 1-0 with a 4.70 ERA.

Nick Domitrovich, Carson, Lassen College: Went 2-for-8 with 3 RBI in two-game series against Mission. Is hitting .233 for the season.

Chance Quilling, Carson, Sierra College: Hitting .260 with two RBI this season.

SOFTBALL

Christa McGahuey, Carson, University of Detroit-Mercy: No action last week. On Feb. 15, went 2-for-3 with two RBI in loss to Fordham.

Danielle Morrow, Carson, Doane College: Went 0-for-3 in her only game last week. Hitting .143 through 5 games.

Kenzie Cole, Dayton, Montana: Cole went 0-for-2 last week and has a 14.00 ERA.

Lisa Yamamoto, Carson, Linfield College: Went 1-for-2 with 2 RBI in sweep of Occidental. Is hitting .333 in six games.

Jen Purcell, Carson, UNR: Went 2-for-2 in 9-1 loss to Fullerton. Is hitting .280 in 9 games.

SWIMMING

Abbi Pittman, Carson, Whittier: Regular season over.

TRACK

Josh Koch, Dayton, Concordia: Finished sixth in the shot put at WPC 50-50 meet with a throw of 48-6 1/4.
