LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas police say a person is dead after a shooting that happened just hours after the new year began.
Authorities say the incident happened at about 2 a.m. Thursday at a home on Bruce Street, near East Washington Avenue and Maryland Parkway.
Police say there had been an argument in the area earlier, and family members showed up to confront one of the people who was possibly involved.
That’s when a physical fight happened outside of the home and led to a shooting.
The male was found wounded inside of the home and transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
His identity has not yet been made public.
