Rabbi Mordey Richler, a Chabad director in South Lake Tahoe, and eight other volunteers recently cleaned the old Jewish cemetery, whose graves a mile outside Virginia City date back to the Comstock days. Richard Kohn of Reno led the volunteers to the hard-to-find cemetery, where volunteers spent the afternoon cutting brush and weeds. The group plans to return in the spring to complete the cleanup.
