Carson City Republicans to choose leadership

Leadership of the Carson City Republican Central Committee is slated to be chosen at the committee’s regular meeting Thursday.

Elections will be conducted for executive officers, including chairman, first vice chairman, second vice chairman, secretary and treasurer of the local party organization.

The announcement came from the current chairman, who is Maurice White.

Members are to meet for activity at the Silver State Charter School, 788 Fairview Dr., for a social gathering at 6:30 p.m. followed by the business meeting starting at 7 p.m. A vote also is anticipated on whether the local central committee is going to support or oppose convening a Convention of States, according to the announcement.
