High Sierra Swing Dance Club, Yaples Ballroom, and several area dancers purchased a new dance floor for El Charro Avitia, 4389 S. Carson St. Both groups use the restaurant for the following events.
Instructor Tiffany Hopkins teaches group salsa at 6 p.m. Thursdays. The classes cost $7 per session. Free open dancing follows the lesson.
Beginning, Feb. 2, intermediate West Coast swing by Tim Renner will be at 6 p.m. Mondays. The lessons, which cost $8 each, are followed by free dancing from 7 to 9 p.m.
Renner is also offering beginning West Coast swing at 6 p.m. Tuesdays. Lessons are $8 per session; free open dancing follows each lesson.
