More than 90,000 jobs in Nevada by 2030 are possible if new renewable energy projects ramp up, according to a report released by A Renewable America (ARA).

The report from the ARA, a project of the Wind Energy Foundation, finds the Silver State’s renewable electricity sector could create more than $5 billion in wages and benefits, along with 92,000 jobs from new project investment over the next 15 years.

The report also found investments in Nevada between 2010 and 2014 generated $820 million in new wages and tax revenues. In addition, it features four companies or projects representative of current or potion renewable power industries. They are the McGinness Hills geothermal project, the Copper Mountain solar plant, the Dixie Valley geothermal facility and the Nellis Air Force base solar array.
