WNC squads begin
2015 season today
The Western Nevada softball and baseball squads kick off their respective seasons today in Henderson.
Leah Wentworth’s softball squad opens with a tripleheader. At 8 a.m., the Wildcats will play Central Arizona, and then play Pima at 10:30 a.m. and Yavapai at 3:30 p.m.
The Wildcats will also play three games on Saturday at 8 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
DJ Whittemore’s baseball squad opens with a four-game series against South Mountain Community College.
The series kicks off today at 4 p.m. at Basic High School. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Desert Oasis High School and then wrap up the series with a single game on Sunday at 11 a.m. at College of Southern Nevada.
