Applicants for two seats on Carson City’s Library Board of Trustees are being sought by the Board of Supervisors.

Applications, which become public record when filed, are for voluntary positions without compensation and are expected to require up to eight hours of work monthly. The board oversees library policy and budget decisions. Terms for the two slots will expire in June of 2019.

Only Carson City registered voters are qualified to apply and anyone interested may check other matters pertaining to such service by viewing city policy on boards, committees and commissions on the city website at www.carson.org/volunteer. Applications may be obtained from and returned to Carson City Executive Offices in City Hall at 201 N. Carson St.

Applications will be accepted until July 24 and interviews to select people for the positions are tentatively scheduled at the city governing board meeting of Thursday, Aug. 6
