Ray Owen Gant

Ray Owen Gant, 81, died in his home in Reno, NV on June 29, 2015.Ray was born on June 27, 1934 in San Gabriel, CA. He married Laura Meyer in 1954, and the couple had two children. He was a man of many interests and talents; Ray was retired Air Force, former Crash Ambulance Driver, Truck Driver, TV Studio Camera Man, News Producer for News 8 KOLO, and Audio-Visual Specialist for the Air Force, a graduate of the NCO Academy, veteran of the Korean Conflict and stateside veteran of Desert Storm. Ray enjoyed hunting, camping, quad riding, and outdoor activities. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Ray is survived by his wife, Laura; his son William “Glen”; his daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Tony, his granddaughter and her fiancé, Brianne and James; his grandson Glen, his brother and sister-in-law Mike and Marge; and many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. Ray will be remembered with a Celebration of Life Ceremony on July 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Community Building at Sky Peaks, 1520 Sky Valley Drive Reno, NV 89523.
