Evan Richards, a 2011 graduate of Carson High School, was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy on June 12. He was administered the Oath of Office by his brother, Marine Corps 2nd Lt. Andrew Richards, a 2009 graduate of Carson High School.

Evan completed the ROTC program at Oregon State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He plans to pursue a career in Naval aviation and is scheduled to begin the Navy’s flight training program in Pensacola, Fla., later this year.

Andrew is a Marine Corps Artillery Officer who will be stationed in Twentynine Palms, Calif.
