New auto arrives. Walleys Springs has a new auto that was exercised by Sen. Dangberg. It is a Ford of the latest pattern and will hold four people, plus the driver. The auto will be put into commission immediately and the patrons of this famous resort will find it a great convenience for travel to and from the springs.

Silver City Mall in Carson City. Remodeling will be done to Office Depot, Sav-on Drugs and Mings restaurant — by a California real estate investment company. This is one of the last transactions linked to the bankruptcy of Ernst Home Center Inc. in the mall at Carson Street and Fairview.

Sue Ballew is the daughter of Bill Dolan, who wrote this column for the Nevada Appeal from 1947 until his death in 2006.
