Carson City Library hosting presentation about Myanmar Wednesday

Carson City Library is hosting a presentation by local resident Raven Grayshield, who spent five months living in Yangon teaching English. Grayshield’s presentation, which will focus on the country of Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The event will shed on light on the nation tucked between China, India, and Thailand. In Grayshield’s words, “I want to take you through the charms of the country.”

Explore the World @ Your Library is a program which hosts a series of presentations by people from other countries or by those who have traveled to far-away places. Previous nations that have been explored through this popular series include a wide variety of foreign countries and regions. Carson City Library is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, at the corner of Roop and Washington Streets.
