Kathryn E. Fletcher passed away peacefully on 6/1/15 in Carson City surrounded by family. Born in Duluth Minnesota 7/12/1916 the 3rd of 4 children born to Joseph and Blanche Brandmeier. Kathryn grew up in Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in nutrition. She married the love of her life and husband of 67 years Jim Fletcher in 1938 and had two children Bill & Barbara. Kathryn worked as a Dietician for a Seattle Hospital. Jim & Kathryn moved to Lake Tahoe in 1962 and both worked for Harvey’s Hotel & Casino. After retiring in 1982 as Harvey’s Room Service Manager Kathryn became an active volunteer at the Tahoe Douglas Senior Center. In 1998 Jim & Kathryn moved to Carson City to be closer to their family. Kathryn enjoyed spending time with family, knitting, doing assorted crafts, crossword puzzles and watching TV Games Shows, but what she treasured most was the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Jim, daughter Barbara Lamerdin and siblings Edward, Wilhelmina and Lorraine. She is survived by her son Bill, daughter-in-law Sherry, grandchildren Jay, Wendy, Kelli, Mark and Maureen as well as great- grandchildren: Ryan, Katie, Brooks, Cora, Orrin, Tessa, Jake, Taylor and Rachel. Services will be at 1:00pm on Monday 6/22/15 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church Carson City, in the North Chapel. Arrangements entrusted to Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, Carson City.
