The Truckee-Carson Irrigation District’s annual water users meetings have been finalized.
TCID will host its Fernley session at 7 p.m. on March 24 at the Fernley City Council Chambers, 595 Silver Lace Blvd.
The Fallon meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on March 26 at the Churchill County Commissioners Chambers, 155 N. Taylor St. Agendas for the meetings will be posted when they become available.
TCID Board of Directors set its 2015 water allocation on Tuesday during its regular monthly meeting.
The allocation was placed at 20 percent for the Carson and Truckee divisions. Orders for both divisions will be start March 15 with Truckee division deliveries beginning as orders are received and scheduled.
Carson division water orders will be subject to a minimum total of 1,000 acre-feet in advanced orders before scheduling and delivery will commence.
The water season will end when Lahontan Reservoir reaches a minimum pool of 4,000 acre-feet in the Carson division, and when water supply in the Truckee division is no longer available, or all delivery obligations have been met.
