The Jeanne Dini Center in Yerington will present an evening of Cajun music with the Savoy Family Cajun Band at 7 p.m. on March 20.

The Savoy Family Cajun Band features Marc, accordionist, and Ann, guitarist and vocalist, and their sons, Joel, who generally plays fiddle, and Wilson, who plays accordion, keyboard and bass.

The band brings energy of the dance halls of southwest Louisiana to the stage, and its music is peppered with anecdotes about life on the Louisiana prairies.

Marc and Ann have been performing and recording together since 1977.

They have traveled all over the world, appearing at Newport Folk Festival, Berlin Jazz Festival, Smithsonian Institution, Getty Museum, and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.

Ann and Joel appeared in the film “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood,” and they performed on the Warner Bros. Soundtrack, as well as at the film’s premiere in Los Angeles.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $17 for Jeanne Dini Center members and $20 for nonmembers.
