Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

TUESDAY

At 8:15 a.m., a 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 400 block of Lee Street. A drug dog found what the arrest report described as a meth pipe in a backpack. He was held in lieu of $1,000 bail.

• At 7:55 p.m., a 66-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense after a witness called deputies for a possible drunk driver near College Parkway and Research Drive. She was held in lieu of $1,000 bail.

• At 10:10 p.m., a 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs and using those drugs after deputies were called to an address on East Long Street. The arrest report says he was semi conscious, confused and unable to stand. He reportedly told the deputy he took “a handful of Xanax” in an attempt to get high. He was jailed after being treated at Carson Tahoe Medical Center. He was held in lieu of $3,750 bail.
