Sierra Nevada Ballet is hosting an evening of dance, beer and brats at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.

Brew, Brats and Ballet, a celebration of new choreography modeled after Sacramento Ballet’s tradition of beer and ballet, features new short choreographic works by local and out-of-state artists. Brew, Brats and Ballet offers audiences a chance to sample some local brews and sausages while enjoying new choreographic offerings by former Joffrey Ballet principal, Mauro Villanueva; Ballet X’s Chloe Felesina; UNR’s former director of dance, Barbara Land; UNR dance faculty member, Eve Allen and SNB artistic director, Rosine Bena.

Audience members are going to have the opportunity to hear about the creative process each choreographic artist practices, then dancers of Sierra Nevada Ballet are going to perform each new choreographic work.

The program will finish up with an informal question and answer discussion with the choreographers and audience members.

The program will be repeated at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Reno Little Theater, 147 E. Pueblo St. in Reno.
