Ingrid Anna (Lindstrom) Johnson

Ingrid passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 101 with family nearby on May 16, 2015. Ingrid was born in Sweden in l913 and came to the United States in l920. Her family settled in Berkeley, California, where she attended school and received a teaching degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1936. She married Andy in l936 and remained there until 1948 when they moved to Los Altos with their 3 children. She moved to Minden in 2000 to be near her daughters. Ingrid loved her family, Church and the United States. She enjoyed teaching, gardening, sewing, walking, cooking, traveling and shopping the sales. Ingrid is preceded in death by her husband Andy and their son, Nils. She is survived by her daughters Ingrid Ann and Brita and daughter-in-law Pat, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Ingrid will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville, NV. Following the service, a light lunch will be served.
