Running a close second to Calif. in taxes

It seems like every time city officials want a sewer or water rate hike, they refer to how much Reno and Washoe County are collecting and Carson City residents should pay the same. I don’t believe that is fair. Now Patrick Pittenger consults some person from Washoe County, is that Lee Gilson, Washoe County road professional?

Maybe they should leave this indexing as it is, or maybe they should go to work for Washoe County. Indexing is not necessary until Pittenger explains what happened to the road tax and how much the city is back charging the road fund, the sewer and water and transferring that money to the general funds.

These officials are getting out of hand. For some reason nobody wants to lower these taxes when needed. It sounds like bad management by Pittenger. No telling who else Pittenger may have called to get bad advice. Any rise in taxes based on hearsay or because Washoe County has it, is invalid. When will this rise in taxes end? The people need to know that we are running a close second to California in taxes!
