Carson Nugget hosting Leif Skyving and other comedians in November

A comedian of Comedy Central fame is appearing Friday at the Carson Nugget.

Leif Skyving, who was born in Sweden and raised in Los Angeles, Calif., is bringing his stand-up show to the Nugget’s comedy club, Carson Comedy. Skyving’s stand-up routine includes musical comedy and special characters. His act also encourages audience interaction.

The comedian got his start in comedy 20 years ago at Hollywood’s famous Comedy Store. He appeared on The Comedy Network’s “Comedy at Club 54” and “Comedy Kitchen,” “Last Comic Standing,” ABC’s “Three’s Company” and “General Hospital.” Skyving also can be heard regularly on XM satellite radio. He has shared the stage with Weird Al Yankovic, Howie Mandel, Paul Rodriguez, Steve Allen and Jimmy “JJ” Walker.

Other live comedy shows are planned this month at the Nugget.

Justin Rupple, who performed on “Scorpion” and “Comics to Watch in ‘14” on CBS, and “Partners” on FX, Fox & Lifetime, is performing on Friday, Nov. 13. Rupple, whose act features dozens of impersonations and characters, is the winner of two national comedy competitions.

Impressionist Tony D’Andrea is taking the stage on Friday, Nov. 20. D’Andrea is a two-time National Champion in the comedy category of the Veterans Association Talent Contest.

Rick Izquieta is performing on Friday, Nov. 27. Izquieta showcased his talent on the Starz TV Network comedy show “STAANN’ DUP!!”

All shows start at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Tickets cost $13 in advance and $15 on the day of the show. Audience members must be 21 or older.
