Gas line explosion cause traffic delay south of Carson City

U.S. 395 has reopened to traffic following a gas line explosion south of Carson City, the East Fork Fire Protection Distrct reported.

The gas line exploded at about 4 p.m. this afternoon and traffic at Mica Drive and U.S. 395 was reopened shortly after 6 p.m. but at that time Eastbound Mica Drive traffic was closed until further notice. No injuries were reported.

The high-pressure gas line that exploded was located on the east side of the intersection. The cause of the explosion was under investigation.
