First Baptist sets Christmas production

First Baptist Church, 1750 N. Mountain Street, will present its production of “Christmas Past and Christmas Present” at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13.

The adapted production written by Charlie Mezzano compares the original Christmas to how Christmas is celebrated today. It looks at the concept of no rooms in the inn and compares it to our willingness to make room for others in the celebration of Jesus’ coming to earth.

It looks at the Wise men, who were honored to give gifts to the Christ child compared to the “me” oriented approach to give at Christmas now. The drama points out how much (and how little) has changed in 2,000 years.

The public is invited to attend the services featuring the production Dec. 13. For more information, call 882-1851.
