Carson City health inspections

Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Nov. 6. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Ben’s Fine Wine & Spirits, 3777 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

LA Bakery, 220 W. John St., scored 98 points. Canned foods were stored on the floor. Biofilm was found in the ice machine.

Antojitos el Mundo Latino, 910 E. William St., scored 95 points. Bulk foods were not properly labeled. A home style refrigerator was in use. Liquid soap and disposable paper towels were missing from the hand wash sink near the ice cream freezer.

Garibaldi’s, 307 N. Carson St., scored 95 points. Chlorine residual was missing from the dishwasher’s final rinse cycle. The floor near the dishwasher was damaged.

Little Caesar’s Pizza, 1820 E. William St., scored 95 points. Mold was found on fiberglass paneling above the three-compartment sink. Caulking between the three-compartment sink and fiberglass paneling was damaged. The self-closer on the employee bathroom door was broken, repeat violation.

Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson St., scored 88 points. Mice feces were found in the dry storage area. Biofilm was found in both ice machines. The self-closers on the bathroom door hinges needed to be repaired. Two food handler’s certification cards were expired.
