The Nevada Arts Council is hosting a series of 11 free grant workshops in December to help artists, nonprofit organizations, educators and public institutions apply for grants and programming support available through NAC’s state programs.

“Meet the NAC” workshops are designed for novice grant writers and those unfamiliar with the council or NAC’s Grants OnlineTM system.

New for 2016, NAC is presenting workshops and meeting individually with current grantees and applicants in communities across the state.

The first workshop is 6-7 p.m. Monday at the Brewery Arts Center, followed by another from 6 to 7 p.m. Dec. 1 in Minden at Copeland Cultural Arts Center and Dec. 3. Others are planned in Reno, Elko, Winnemucca and Southern Nevada.

Registration is not required. For accommodations for anyone with disabilities, contact 775-687-6680 or grants@nevadaculture.org.
