Commissioners meet Tuesday

The first County Commission meeting of October will be conducted Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding: Update from the Churchill County public administrator for the third quarter of 2015.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Bill 2015-E, Ordinances 114, and ordinance providing for the establishment and enforcement of a Rabies Control Program.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Bill 2015-E, Ordinances 12, 24, 32 and 81, an ordinance making corrections, deletions, additions and minor revisions to the Title 5 Business Licenses and Regulations, Section 5.00 Licenses, Permits and Employment Certificates, General; and Section 5.04 Business Licenses; and Title 16 Consolidated Development Code, Section 16.04 Administration, Section 16.08 Zoning and Land Use, Section 16.12 Division of Land, Section 16.14 Transfer of Development Rights, Section 16.16 Development Standards and Section 16.24 Definitions.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Community Development Block annual program update and discussion on project priorities.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Revisions to Churchill County’s infrastructure development plan.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Bill 2015-F, Ordinance 98, and ordinance amending chapter 13.06 of the Churchill county Code changing the previously approved uses of the infrastructure tax proceeds to include uses related to the construction of public safety and judicial facilities in addition to uses previously approved by the commissioners.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Authorization to enter into PATH program lease for on year.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Presentation by the Nevada Association of Counties regarding the lawsuit asking for an injunction on the implementation of the Sage Grouse Land Use Plan Amendment.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Request transfer of funds to the city of Fallon for partial payment on the South Taylor Street walking path/pedestrian improvement project, first and final payment of the Convention Center Way pedestrian improvement project, and first and final payment for the 2015 miscellaneous street maintenance and repair materials project.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Approval of renewal of license from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Clint and Denise Felton ¬– an application for a sending site and transfer of development rights calculation for properties located at 4720 Silver Sage Land and 151 Willdate Drive.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Frey Ranch, LLC – an application for a sending site and transfer of development rights calculation for property located on Pasture Road, Flying K Ranch Lane, Schurz Highway and Pasture Road.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Receipt of grant award from Pool/Pact and permission to enter into a contract with CC Communications for a building access management system for the County Administration Annex Building.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Memorandum of Understanding for Churchill county to participate in the E-Verify system.

Consideration and possible action regarding: Presentation on fund balance summary report.
