Carson City residents Vivian J. and Norton J. Pickett, married on Dec. 31, 1948, are celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary on Dec. 31.

Norton is a retired administrator at the Department of Industrial Relations — Division of Mines. Vivian is a retired clerk.

The couple has two children, Ronald Pickett of Carson City, and Gloria Jean Watson of Caldwell, Idaho, and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Picketts renewed their vows at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Winnemucca on July 25, 1955.

To celebrate their anniversary, the Picketts held a family reunion and entered the Winnemucca Classic Car Show, in which they won first place.
