Minden man achieves at Army and Navy Academy

Army and Navy Academy recognized Minden’s Samuel Wahl, who officially achieved Cadet status after completing Plebe Training. Wahl was honored in a ceremony on Sept. 26.

“Plebe” is the official term for a first year Cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point and the United States Naval Academy, as well as at the Army and Navy Academy. Wahl completed a three-week Plebe Training Course at ANA, where he learned the school’s history and traditions, the alma mater, and armed and unarmed drill. He was tested on all subjects, and officially promoted to Cadet after passing the assessment.

Once named a Cadet, Wahl is able to move up through the Academy’s leadership program.
