Carl Francis “Fritz” Yeager (AKA the “Candy Man”) died October 2nd, 2015. Fritz was born January 19, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Carl and Pearl Yeager. He was raised in Kansas City, where he met his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (nee Svetlecic). Fritz was a steel worker for Armco Steel for 42 years. He was a Korean War veteran stationed in Munich, Germany. Fritz had many passions, among them, working in his yard, gambling at the Fandango and Nugget in Carson City. He loved playing cards with his friends, and especially being the “Candy Man”. He always had candy for everyone. Fritz loved being with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan especially when it came to his Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Timothy, three brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by Dorothy, his loving wife of 62 years, three sons, Steven of Kansas City, MO, Kenneth (Lauren) of Kansas City, MO and Joseph of Cameron, MO. Also, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Visitation and Remembrance will be Friday, October 09, 2015, from 3 pm - 6 pm, at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley. Rosary and prayer service will be at 5:30 pm.
