The girls and boys varsity tennis teams are perpendicular with their streaks with the Lady Wave back on the winning path and the boys team struggling to come from behind.

The girls are currently 7-3 both overall and in league play, while the boys are 3-8 overall and 3-7 in league play.

The Lady Wave pulled off another win in their home match against South Tahoe 13-5, especially welcome after losing two away matches at Incline and Truckee, 15-3 and 9-9 respectively.

The two prior losses hardly put a dent in the girls’ record, two of their only three since an early loss to Incline.

The Wave boys team looked hopeful to turn things around after their 15-3 win against Sparks on Sept. 22 after five consecutive losses, until bad fortune returned with three consecutive losses to Incline, Truckee, and South Tahoe 10-9, 14-4 and 13-5 respectively.
