Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

MONDAY

At 3:12 p.m., Derrick Peterson, 25, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a credit card without permission and three counts of felony possession of stolen property after deputies responded to reports of a petit larceny near the 1700 block of Carson Street. Deputies found two stolen wallets, a stolen credit card and a stolen cell phone at the scene. Bail was set at $80,000.

At 3:20 p.m., a 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and violation of a suspended sentence near the 1400 block of Como Street. Bail was set at $4,000.

At 11:41 p.m., a 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of battery on a peace officer and resisting a public officer after deputies observed a woman standing next to a car that was in a ditch at the Highway 50 Slotworld. Bail was set at $2,800.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
