Carson City’s Harold and Mildred McGuire celebrate 73rd anniversary

Carson City residents Harold D. and Mildred I. McGuire celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on Oct. 11.

Harold and Mildred, 14-year residents of Carson City, met in a high school geometry class. They were married on Oct. 11, 1942, in Loveland, Colo.,

Harold, a World War II veteran, is a retired manager of electronics repair at United Airlines. Mildred is a retired postal clerk. The couple has a son, Donald McGuire, of Minden.

The pair celebrated in Carson City with their son and daughter-in-law.
