Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, eluding, assault

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 9 a.m., a 58-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and civil protective custody after deputies responded to reports of a man stepping into traffic and yelling obscenities at women near the 1800 block of College Parkway. Bail was set at $150.

At 4:24 p.m., Kenna Blanken, 28, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon after deputies responded to reports of a woman trying to ram another woman with her car at the William Street Smith’s. Bail was set at $20,000.

At 5:56 p.m., a 49-year-old Flagstaff, Ariz., man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to reports of a man making threats and using offensive language at the Carson Street Jack in the Box. Bail was set at $150.

At 7:47 p.m., Moises Alvarez, 22, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon, felony eluding, assault on a peace officer, resistance with violence, no valid driver’s license, violation of suspended sentence and failure to appear after deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop near William Street. Alvarez lead police on a high speed chase through Carson City before stopping near the 300 block of Paiute Street and he threatened police saying that he would shoot deputies. He was detained after deputies had to use physical force and a Tazer. Bail was set at $41,800.

SATURDAY

At 10:45 a.m., a 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery at Carson High School.

SUNDAY

At 5:55 a.m., a 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense, failure to maintain lane, revoked driver’s license and two counts of violation of probation after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Winnie Lane and Carson Street. Bail was set at $9,040.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
