The Desert Gardeners Garden Club honored deceased member, Carolyn Kelly, on June 5 with a tree planting at Carriage Square Park. The ceremony was held in front a large group of Kelley’s family, shown above, and members of the club and residents of the Carriage Square development. The planting was arranged through the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department and was planted by employees of Western Environments Inc.
The Desert Gardeners Garden Club was formed in 1952 to help beautify Carson City, study plant life and promote better gardens. For more information, call Donna Moormann at 775-841-4683.
