The Tahoe/Douglas Elks is hosting its annual Hoop Shoot — a contest open to children ages 8-13 as of April 1, 2016 — at 10 a.m. Nov. 14 in the gymnasium of the Douglas County Community Center, 2300 Meadown Lane in Gardnerville.
