Carson City’s Mom & Pop’s ranks No. 2 in state for Best Diners on website

Those in Carson City know Mom & Pop’s is a classic diner and now the restaurant has made a name for itself across the state.

In ranking the top 10 diners in Nevada, www.onlyinyourstate.com rated Mom & Pop’s Diner as the state’s No. 2 diner. Onlyinyourstate.com is a website that posts facts and rankings dealing with virtually any subject for all of the 50 states.

“I have to say this is a proud day to see this,” posted Mom and Pop’s on its Facebook page. “I am speechless. Yeah!!!!!!!”

Onlyinyourstate.com states this about Mom and Pop’s located at 224 S. Carson St.: “Mom & Pop’s Diner is a classic hometown diner that serves a delicious breakfast and lunch. You’ll always feel at home while dining at Mom & Pop’s Diner. Before leaving, you must try their famous cinnamon roll. They have the biggest and BEST cinnamon roll EVER!”

Two other area restaurants also cracked the top 10. Yerington’s King’s Diner, 20 W. Bridge St. was ranked seventh. From Onlyinyourstate.com: “King’s Diner offers classic diner favorites, such as hamburgers, fries and shakes. Their service is fantastic and prices are affordable. The moment you walk through their door, you’re treated like family.”

Gardnerville’s Woodett’s Diner, 1492 Highway 395 North) was ranked eighth by Onlyinyourstate.com, which posted: “Wodett’s Diner is known for having the best breakfast in town. Their portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. They’re also very accommodating to kids. Woodett’s Diner is a definite must-stop the next time you’re in the Gardnerville area.”
