CAC’s Fall Film Series, “Alfred Hitchcock: Three From the 1950s” begins on Nov. 6 and will screen three classic films on consecutive Friday nights.

“Rear Window,” released in 1954, stars James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Thelma Ritter and Raymond Burr will be shown on Nov. 6. The series will continue with a screening of 1958’s “Vertigo,” which pairs Kim Novak with James Stewart, on November 13.

The Hitchcock series will conclude with a showing of “North by Northwest,” from 1959 and starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint and James Mason.

Tickets are $7 for CAC members, $10 for non-members and may be purchased in the Art Center’s bar on the nights of the screenings; the bar will open at 6 p.m. and the films will begin at 7 p.m.

Special passes for all three films—$18 for CAC members, $27 for non-members may also be purchased on the evening of Nov. 6.

Joseba Zulaika, who teaches in the Center for Basque Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, will be in Fallon on Nov. 7 for a conversation on his most recent book “That Old Bilbao Moon: The Passion and Resurrection of a City.”

The book is a memoir, an ethnography of desire, an essay tracking a generation’s consciousness and a manifesto for a new city — one that suggests in order to change your life you must transform your city.

The author will present a slide lecture tracing aspects of the city’s history and its role in Basque culture including some meditations on how Frank Ghery’s famous Guggenheim Bilbao museum came into being and its impact on Basque traditions.

The conversation with the author will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 7. There will be a meet-the-author reception from 5-6 p.m. and the talk will begin at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. For more information you can call CAC at 775-423-1440.

Tickets for the performance by Storm Large on Nov. 21 are now on sale. The show by this remarkable artist is recommended for mature audiences and is anticipated to sell out completely, so you should get your tickets early. You can get yours at Jeff’s Copy Express, ITT @ NAS Fallon or by calling CAC at 775-423-1440.
