Carson Animal Services Initiative is hosting its fourth annual CASI 5K-9 Fun Run/Walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Riverview Park on East Fifth Street. Check-in will be from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m.
This year’s event is kicking off the Carson City Visitor’s Bureau’s Dog Days of Summer event, which offers a weekend of dog friendly events Sept. 24-27 around Carson City.
The cost is $15 for registration postmarked no later than Sept. 16, and $20 on the day of the event. Dogs must be leashed and are welcome to participate at no cost.
