Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Five arrested on suspicion of connection with stolen vehicle

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 1:25 a.m., Ashley Gormley, 24, a transient was arrested on suspicion of felony receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle after deputies responded to reports of a stolen vehicle near the 400 block of Nevada Street. Gormley and a second man allegedly took a friend’s vehicle and later returned it, however fled on foot before deputies arrived. She was located at the 700 block of South Carson Street. At 5:41 a.m., the second man, Samuel Pollock-Smith was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property, felony grand larceny warrant and a theft warrant after deputies conducted a high risk traffic stop at the Carson Street Maxx Casino. Also at the incident, Jeremy Chaplin, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation hold and felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, William Merrill, 41, of Reno was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Susanne Lambert, 31, of Reno was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription. Bail for Gormley was set at $10,000, bail for Pollock was set at $38,500, bail for Merrill was set at $2,500, bail for Chaplin was set at $5,000 and bail for Lambert was set at $2,500.

At 9:10 a.m. a 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of arrest of a probationer and violation of an extended domestic order after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 600 block of Hot Springs Road. Bail was set at $8,000.

At 9:51 a.m. a 35-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 4800 block of Heron Road. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 11:03 a.m., a 42-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense, failure to stop at a traffic signal and failure to maintain a lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1200 block of Roop Street. Bail was set at $2,830.

At 6:16 p.m., a 58-year-old Washoe Valley woman was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the Market Street Walmart. Bail was set at $150.

SATURDAY

At 5:57 p.m., a 36-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Lone Mountain Drive and Winnie Lane. Bail was set at $500.

At 8:21 p.m., a 29-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 2800 block of Lukens Lane. Bail was set at $3,000.

SUNDAY

At 1 a.m., a 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, minor consuming alcohol, accident hit and run-property and violation of bail conditions after deputies responded to Clearview Drive and Muldoon Street. Bail was set at $4,650.

At 2:54 p.m., Lennard James, 43, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of destruction of property and felony parole and probation violation after deputies responded to reports of a possibly intoxicated man yelling and throwing food inside the Carson Street Wendy’s. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 3:50 p.m., a 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies conducted a consensual stop at the South Carson Street Red Hut. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 6:21 p.m., Jeffrey McCunn, 47, of Incline Village, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run with injury and DUI after deputies responded to reports of an accident near College Parkway and Carson Street. McCunn was located at the Market Street Walmart where he was arrested. Bail was set at $41,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
