This weekend will be Little League weekend for the Western Nevada College baseball program — and all children whether they play Little League or not 12 and under accompanied by an adult — will be admitted to the games at John L. Harvey Field for free.
WNC will host Utah State University Eastern for a key four-game Scenic West Athletic Conference series Friday and Saturday. Doubleheaders will be played each day with each doubleheader beginning at noon. Michele Ramsey Pedersen, Carson City Little League President, will throw out the cermonial first pitch before Saturday’s doubleheader.
The Wildcats come into the series trailing College of Southern Nevada by 2 1/2 games in the race for the SWAC regular season title.
