Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Multiple arrests on felony drug charges

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 11:53 a.m., a 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of unauthorized communication with a prisoner and violation of probation after deputies responded to reports of a man talking to inmates behind the jail. Bail was set at $3,500.

At 5:14 p.m., a 24-year-old Fernley man was arrested on suspicion of breech of peace and disorderly conduct after deputies responded to reports of an intoxicated subject near the 2300 block of South Carson Street. The suspect went into several businesses allegedly causing a disturbance and yelling at customers. Bail was set at $650.

At 6:50 p.m., a 49-year-old Oakland, Calif., woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies responded to a domestic dispute near the 2900 block of Menlo Drive. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 8:45 p.m., a 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of bail conditions after deputies conducted a protection order service near the 900 block of Mountain Park Drive. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 11:19 p.m., a transient man was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway after deputies responded to reports of a suspicious subject near the Highway 50 Savemart. Bail was set at $25.

FRIDAY

At 12:29 a.m., Eduardo Rivas-Garcia, 23, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Bath and Division. At the same incident, Lee Ross, 38, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and failure to maintain a lane and Richard Rios, of Reno was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant. Bail for Rivas-Garcia was set at $5,000, bail for Ross was set at $2,540 and bail for Rios was set at $6,500.

At 3:33 a.m., Chelsea Wojdynski, 26, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, registration suspended and no valid insurance after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson and Colorado streets. At the same incident, Courtney Moyer, 27, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail for Wojdynski was set at $6,750 and bail for Moyer was set at $3,500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
