School voucher program undermines law

The state may not grant public funds to a religious organization. Recent legislation has been enacted providing for the state to distribute public funds to parents for their child’s education.

Once the state funds have been “cleansed” by that transfer, the parents may then give those funds to a religious school.

Under the criminal justice statutes this type of transaction is defined as “laundering money” and is subject to prosecution.
