Noma Grace Perkins, passed away December 2, 2016 after a long struggle with dementia. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Herbert and Grace Hamilton. Noma attended college in Texas, studying music and voice. She was married to Henry N. Perkins, Jr. for 44 years, who preceded her in death. Noma and Henry spent 23 years in the military eventually settling in Torrance, California. Noma was active in the South Bay Church of God, playing the piano and singing in the choir. She also sponsored the North High Pep Squad for 10 years. After retirement Noma joined her daughter Sally in Northern Nevada residing in Carson City for 20 years. Noma enjoyed

volunteering at the Senior Center and participating in the annual Senior Follies. She was gregarious and fun and could always be counted on to brighten a room. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Herbert and Ben. She is survived by her children Rebecca Hensley, Robert Bartlett, Raymond Perkins, Thomas Perkins, Gail Musk, Sally Elloyan and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.


Noma’s ashes will be interred at the Northern Nevada Veteran’s Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada, along side her husband at a later date.
