Wild Horse Children’s Theater will be holding auditions, open to ages 4-15, for the musical Annie, Kids!, which will play in March of next year.

Auditions, by appointment only, will be at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14. Callbacks are after auditions on Jan. 14.

Those auditioning are asked to bring a short, one-minute-or-less Broadway style song with accompaniment on CD or iPod that showcases his or her vocal ability. No background vocals. Auditioners also will be taught a dance, so they are asked to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and plan to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out forms. Bring a current photo.

Based on the Broadway favorite and well-known comic strip, Annie, Kids! recounts the adventures of a spunky Depression era orphan (Annie) determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage. Among the many musical numbers are “Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile” and “Tomorrow.”
