Standing Rock Sioux stage groundless protest
The Dakota pipeline protest is completely unjustified. Fifty tribes have given input on the routing, resulting in 140 changes. Two federal courts have found that the Standing Rock Sioux were approached but refused to participate in that process.
Every reason to justify the lawlessness and violence by the protestors — who set off an IED a few weeks ago among other things — is false. For example, the tribe claims its water supply is at risk, but their fresh water intake is 70 miles downstream on the Missouri River from the pipeline.
The Obama Army Corps of Engineers’ unlawful capitulation to the illegal protest punishes the pipeline contractor for scrupulously following the legal permitting process and bending over backward to accommodate the Standing Rock Sioux.
The mainstream media is using the cheap emotionalism of the situation to avoid honest reporting, making themselves an out-of-touch tool of the left for failing to report easily discoverable facts.
Under a Trump administration, federal contractors that obey the law will be allowed to complete their projects and get paid for their work.
