Susan Barton, a dyslexia expert and founder of Bright Solutions for Dyslexia, will be featured in a presentation about dyslexia from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Washoe Room at Harrah’s Reno.
Barton’s will cover dyslexia’s inheritance patterns and the genetic link; symptoms of mild dyslexia in adults; warning signs in children; why most dyslexic children don’t qualify for special education; best practices to improve spelling, reading, and writing and why tutoring alone is not enough.
