Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Missing woman arrested

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

WEDNESDAY

At 9:12 a.m., Johnny Escobar, 20, of Dayton, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Fairview Drive and Lompa Lane. At the same incident, Michael Bird, of Carson City also was arrested on suspicion of felony violation of bail conditions and possession of marijuana. Bail for Escobar was set at $3,500 and bail for Bird was set at $500.

At 12:17 p.m., a 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 3100 block of Airport Road. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 12:33 p.m., a 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies initiated a warrant service near the 1700 block of Valley View Drive. Bail was set at $10,000.

At 2:15 p.m., Deanna Byars, 40, was arrested on suspicion of arrest of a probationer near the 400 block of Carson Street. Byars was previously reported as missing since July 2015 by her family. Deputies received reports of Byars’ possible location near Carson Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

THURSDAY

At 1:20 a.m., a 36-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear warrant after deputies responded to reports of a domestic battery near the 1600 block of Long Street. Bail was set at $500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
