Multiple crashes kept Carson City deputies busy around 11 a.m. Friday morning.

Carson City deputies responded to one incident, involving two vehicles, at the Roop Street exit at Lowe’s. A white pickup truck was turning left out of the Lowe’s parking lot onto southbound Roop Street when the driver hit the back end of a green SUV. The SUV rotated and flipped at least once before landing upright on the sidewalk, deputies on scene said.

Originally, authorities thought no one was hurt, as the female driver of the SUV denied medical treatment, stating she was fine. However, almost a half hour later as she was sitting with deputies, filling out a statement form, the woman collapsed without warning. Medics arrived on scene and transported her to Renown Regional Medical Center via CareFlight. Her condition is unknown.

A second accident also occurred around 11 a.m. at the Quik Stop Gas Station on Roop Street.

A woman was driving southbound on Roop when she allegedly had a seizure at the wheel and swerved across the northbound lane, crashing into a tree at the gas station. The woman was uninjured on scene, but was cited for having a suspended driver’s license. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Traffic at both scenes was delayed, however no detours were needed at either.
