Brooke Warner joining Swift Communications

Brooke Warner has joined Swift Communications as general manager of Swift Communications’ Northern Nevada-based operations.

Warner will oversee the Lahontan Valley News. succeeding Mark Raymond, who’s retiring.

“While I’m excited to roll up my sleeves and become a part of this amazing community and fantastic team, I know I am not alone in saying that Mark Raymond has served the company, and the area well, and will be missed,” Warner said.

She also will oversee The Record-Courier, the Nevada Appeal, Northern Nevada Business Weekly and commercial printing.

“Brooke brings an extensive portfolio of knowledge, experience and success in digital media, e-commerce, non-traditional marketing across television, newspapers, magazines and start-up new venture companies,” said Bill Toler, Swift Communications chief executive officer. “She has spent the majority of her career in the major markets of New York, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. successfully building digital advertising businesses and leading the e-commerce launch of new and existing products and services.”

Warner was previously founder and CEO of EPiQ Media, incubator creating high-value media products for targeted audiences.

Warner, a Pennsylvania native, is a graduate from the University of Baltimore. Warner, and her husband Mike and two sons, Chase, 14, and Griffin 10, are moving to Northern Nevada from Maryland.
